Kékkel és arannyal hasított doborpajzs elülső mezejében fönt: lebegő arany lándzsacsúcs, alatta: élével előre néző ezüst fejszefej; a hátsó mezőben: hegyével felfelé, élével hátrafelé forduló kék ekevas. A pajzs szegélye – színváltással – arannyal és kékkel borítva.
A címerpajzs 7:8 oldalarányú téglalapból lett kialakítva, mely aránytól nem szerencsés eltérni. Ugyanezen lépték szerint 1/4 egységnyi széles a szegély, amelyet befelé kell mérni a pajzson. A pajzson ábrázolt alakzatokat a minta szerint javasoljuk megjeleníteni. Címertanilag értelmezett, stilizált tárgyak ezek, melyeknek nem szükséges fényképszerűen valósághűeknek lenniük. – A címer egyszínű ábrázolását és szabványként elfogadni javasolt színes mintáját a II. sz. rajz illetve a mappa mutatja.
A címer magyarázata:
A lándzsacsúcs, mint Sárkányölő Szt. György attribútuma, a község területén a középkorban virágzó híres bencés apátság emlékét idézi, mely apátságnak Szt. György volt a védőszentje. A fejsze és az eke a falu hagyományos régi foglalkozását, az erdőkiélést és a földművelést, rajtuk keresztül a megélhetést adó fáradságos munkát jelképezik. A címer borításai közül a kék szín a községet a XVIII. szd. közepén újjátelepítő szlovákajkú lakosság őshazájának kéklő hegyeire és a természet romlatlanságára emlékeztet, az arany és az ezüst az értékteremtő emberi munkára és a szorgalom által méltán kiérdemelt hírnévre utalnak.
A címer mondanivalója és motívumai a történeti attribútumok és az önkormányzat által javasolt további elemek egyesítésével alakultak ki.

Spade shield erect, party per pale azure and or. In chief a spear-head is borne encouped and or. Below this charge an axe argent, torning toward the front. In the background a ploughshare azure, pointing upwards and with its edge turning toward the back. Shield is bordured or and azure alternately.
The form of the shield goes back to a rectangular shape and its proportions are 7:8. Bordure is proportioned 1:4. The charges in the shield are all stylised depictions of the given objects, typical in heraldry.
The coat of arms of Jásd can be interpreted as follows:
The charge of the spear-head, by being the attribute of St. George, evokes the memory of the Benedictine monastery, which used to thrive in the village in the medieval period. St. George was the patron saint of the monastery.
The charges of the axe and the ploughshare are references to the traditional occupations of the inhabitants of the settlement, they refer to wood cutting and agriculture. The main tincture of the shield, the colour blue (azure) is a reminder of unspoilt nature, as well as of the settlement’s Slovák inhabitants, who resettled the village in the middle of the 18th century. The golden and silver colours (or and argent) recall the inhabitants’ creative work and their deservedly good reputation for it.
The above interpreted meaning of the charges and colours of Jásd’s coat of arms have come into being by synthesizing the elements of the settlement’s historical attributes and of some more modern motives, the use of which had been suggested by the settlement’s local government.
