Álló, háromszögletű, kék színű katonai pajzs, amelynek alapját ezüst András-kereszt foglalja el, a kereszt fölött pedig jobbjában botot tartó, félig jobbra forduló, oldalán kardot hordó ezüst férfialak lebeg. A pajzson zárt katonai sisak, háromlombú arany koronával. A foszlányok színe mindkét oldalon vörös és arany. A pajzs alatt egy szalag lebeg HERNÁDSZENTANDRÁS felirattal.
( A nemesi címerekre jellemző módon kialakított címer arra utal, hogy Hernádszentandrás nemesek lakta település, kuriális község volt. A címer fő alakja, a botot tartó, kardos férfialak a község régi pecsétjének ábráját idézi és ezáltal az önkormányzat múltjára, régi voltára utal. A címer alapját díszítő András-kereszt a település nevére emlékeztet.)

There is a standing,triangular, blue-coloured military shield, of which basis takes a silver Andrew-Cross. A silver man figure turning right to the half hovers above the cross, holding stick in his right and wearing sword on his side.
There is a military closed helmet with three-foliaged gold crown on the shield. The colours of shreds are red and gold on both sides. A band is hanging under the shield with the inscription HERNÁDSZENTANDRÁS.
(The blazon which is created in the typical way of noble blazons refers us to that Hernádszentandrás was inhabited by nobles. The main figure of the blazon is the man holding stick and wearing sword reminds us of ancient stamp of the village, and refers us to the past of the self-government and its long history. The Andrew-Cross adorning the basis of the blazon reminds us to the name of the settlement.
